Shutter Speeds

These Photographs are examples of how different shutter speeds or exposure rates can produce different effects. The Light drawing Photographs are done by using a low shutter speed, in these examples it is 8 seconds. This allows the 'sensor' to pick up the light source in different locations and effectively layer them together to make a single light trail. The images of the subjects jumping is reverse with a high shutter speed of around a 60th of a second. This captures a very precise image of  movement with little or no blurred edges, ideal for sporting events. With these types of photographs ISO plays a key factor, too high and the picture will be over exposed, too low and and it will be underexposed.
