When taking macro shots it is very important to remember key elements such as lighting, because when shooting from a distance of sometimes less than 3cm it is impossible to place a light source between the lens and the subject. The key to a Macro photograph is a low F-number, high apeture and to set the ISO depending on conditions. Cameras with interchangeable lenses can fit a dedicated macro lens or use other lenses reversed held in place.
